It all started… in Nicaragua

It was there that I used a crochet hook for the very first time, influenced by an admirable person (hello Victoria). Very quickly, we started crocheting scrunchies that we would sell on the beach, between two sunsets. At the same time, I was working in a hostel called Caracolito . That's where the first stitches of the project were tied.

Caracolito means “little snail” in Spanish

And finally, the name Caracolito made perfect sense. The spiral, coiled shape of the scrunchies was reminiscent of a snail. Beyond this visual coincidence, the name also carried a beautiful metaphor, a slow rhythm like that of slow fashion. This project is much more than a simple artisanal creation.
